Ambulatory phlebectomy is a minimally invasive surgical technique during which abnormal veins are removed from the leg through tiny incisions using special hooks. This procedure is performed with local anesthesia and in the office. While recovery is rapid—most patients can immediately return to their regular activities--slight bruising is expected.
